So you have decided to purchase your kitchen from a 'multiple' builders merchant or through another reputable outlet?
Have you checked out the alternatives?
Have you made price comparisons?
You are sure that the doors come drilled for the hinges?
The cabinet price does include the hinges/legs/hanging brackets?
When you have paid in full and gone to collect the goods outside the warehouse what will you do when they are not all there?
How long will it take for the balance of your order to arrive?
You are aware of delivery charges?
Is there are an additional delivery charge for delivering the balance of your goods?
You understand who will service your appliances?
You speak Spanish?
You have arranged installation?
You have arranged a professional site survey?
You are sure your measurments are correct?
You are sure the american fridge freezer will fit through the door?
Your water supply is in the correct position?
You are aware of the costs involved in a legal gas installation?
You know who to contact if something goes wrong?
You Have Arranged Your Own Fitter.
You have seen his work, or he just sounded friendly on the phone?
Ask if he knows how to 'Butt and Scribe' laminate worktops and if he has the jig to do so. If he answers no to either of these questions he might be able to fit a kitchen but he is not a kitchen fitter.
His price includes removal of all rubbish from the site?
He has checked your electrical supply to ensure it is sufficent to run all your new electrical appliances?
Fitting The Units Yourself
You know how to join laminate tops without jointing strips?
You know what to do when your walls aren't straight and your worktops are?
You know how to seal around the sink properly?
You know how to wire up the lights?
You have a proper chop saw for mitring the cornice and light pelmet? (A mitre block will not do the trick properly)
You have the correct adhesives for jointing the cornice/light pelmet?
You can connect the sink?
You are aware of the gas regulations?
You know the law regarding placing distances of extractors above ceramic or gas hobs?
Your saw slips and you need another length of worktop, then you scratch a couple of doors and then to top it all you drill through a water pipe when attaching a unit. The cost of your top, plumber and time has now cost you more than you would have spent having it professionally fitted.
Still convinced? Ask your wife, still convinced?
Okay, we can help, we can design, plan, produce your order breakdown, arrange and carry out a site survey and the installation. We can also supply you with any extras you might require including granite work surfaces, sinks, lighting corner solutions etc.
Please contact us outlining which services you require and we will produce you an itemised quotation for them.
